The extruder comprises four main components: a motor that drives a worm gear box, which in turn is connected to a screw barrel. The screw barrel is equipped with multiple heating elements designed to melt the plastics as they pass through.

Functionality
The primary function of the extruder is to melt plastic material that has been pre-sized through a grinding process. The heated, rotating screw inside the barrel transforms the plastic into large, pizza-like lumps, which are then further ground into smaller fractions.
